I’ve just watched this and feel compelled to update this blog: Lance Armstrong interviewed by the BBC
First thoughts? What a monumental bell-end Lance is. What a thoroughly unlikeable, devious prick. Repeatedly referring to himself in the third person, name-checking cancer survivors as a warped justification for his actions and exposed right at the end by some killer questions from Dan Roan.
But there’s still a small part of me that wonders whether cycling would be as popular without the Lance Armstrong story? Would I have heard about Mt Ventoux let alone be planning to climb it without Lance?
